Among Chelsea’s most respected community service organizations, the Kiwanis Club stands alongside such groups as the Rotary Club of Chelsea, the Zonta Club of Chelsea, and the Chelsea Chamber of Commerce—all dedicated to supporting residents through meaningful civic engagement.
Despite its modest membership, the Kiwanis Club delivers substantial benefits to Chelsea. Under President Peter Swart’s direction, the organization has achieved considerable success, channeling volunteer efforts and resources into numerous worthy initiatives that strengthen the city.
This Saturday, the Kiwanis Club will present its 14th Annual Scholarship Road Race at Chelsea Memorial Stadium, situated behind Chelsea High School. The event, beginning at 10 a.m., welcomes all Chelsea students to participate in races and enjoy a day filled with family activities, food, a bicycle raffle, and medals. Admission is free, and the occasion promises to be an engaging and celebratory athletic experience.
