Sunday evening, the Chelsea Youth Basketball League gathered at the French Club for its annual awards banquet.
Attendees—players, coaches, and their families—shared a buffet meal featuring pizza, chicken wings, roasted pork, meatballs, pasta salad, rice (donated by Don Fritos), salad, and cake.
Michelle Lopez, the league’s president, presided over the awards ceremony. All players representing the league’s 16 teams received trophies, and the championship squads from the Junior and Senior Divisions received special recognition.
D.J. Martin [Keith Ibanez] provided music throughout the evening.
Notable among those present was Autumn Lopez, a CYBL alumna who went on to score more than 1,200 points during her time at Chelsea High School and earned induction into the CHS Hall of Fame.
The CYBL is to be commended for an outstanding season.
