Pasquale ‘Nicky’ Navarro, 85 Thomas H. Strahan of Chelsea retiree, freelance photographer Pasquale “Nicky” Navarro died unexpectedly at his Chelsea home on September 5. He was 85 years old. Mr. Navarro was born and raised in Fall River, came to Everett as a young boy and moved to Chelsea in 1951 when he married the love of his life, Grace L. (Fulco.) The couple just celebrated their 59th anniversary in August. Mr. Navarro, who was affectionately known as “Patsy” or “Nicky,” was a wallpaper designer for the former Thomas H. Strahan Co. of Chelsea for more than 27 years. He was also a free lance photographer for Coronet Studios of Chelsea and was still taking pictures for weddings and other functions until he was 81 years old. “Nicky” was an amazingly energetic individual who, until his untimely death, was a volunteer at the Chelsea Citadel of the Salvation Army and at the Food Pantry at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church of Chelsea. In addition to his wife, he leaves his sons, Jeffrey P. Navarro and his wife, Lori, of Lynn and David and his wife, Michelle, of Winthrop. He was the cherished grandfather of David, Danielle, Jessica, Eric and Christopher and is also survived by his sister in law, Carmelina Navarro of Everett and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Ernest, Nunzio, Josephine and Michael Navarro and Domenica Pesce. Family and friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, September 10, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Funeral Home, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere. His Funeral will be conducted in the Funeral Home at 1 p.m. followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Salvation Army Citadel, 258 Chestnut St., Chelsea, MA 02150.
