Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts will honor 43 volunteers, three service units, and two committees at their annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner scheduled for April 10 at 5 p.m. at the Chelmsford Radisson.
Among those being recognized is Chelsea’s Eileena Long, who leads Chelsea Troop 71777.
According to Pam Salkovitz, Interim Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts, “fblikebutton_button” “Our dedicated volunteers enrich the Girl Scouts’ experience on a daily basis through troop management and activities, community service and innovative programming,” she noted. “Their passion and leadership allow our Girl Scouts to learn and thrive in a supportive environment that places them on the right paths to leadership.”
The dinner will feature presentations of the Girl Scouts of the USA Appreciation Pin to 37 volunteers who have provided exceptional service to at least one geographic area or program delivery audience. An additional three volunteers will receive the Girl Scouts of the USA Honor Pin for achieving these distinctions across two or more geographic areas.
Each of the registered adult Girl Scouts receiving awards has shown exceptional dedication to supporting the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. All awards require one nomination, one endorsement and approval from the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts’ Board of Directors.
