John Cunio, Sr.
Retired Pile Driver; Former Member of Chelsea Moose
John A. Cunio, Sr., a resident of Pelham, NH, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 4 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 75 years old.
Mr. Cunio was the devoted husband of Judith M. (Harrington) Cunio; the couple would have marked their 48th wedding anniversary on July 24 of this year. Born in Boston on July 8, 1938, he was the son of the late John A. and Mary J. (Levy) Cunio. His education was completed through the Revere school system. John worked as a pile driver at numerous area locations, employed through the Pile Drivers Local 56 Union in Boston, until his retirement.
John’s interests included outdoor activities, fishing and woodworking, and he was an enthusiastic New England sports fan. He held membership in the Moose Club in Chelsea.
Besides his wife Judy, John leaves behind a son, John A. Cunio II and his wife Paula of Pelham, NH; a daughter Christine M. Lombard and her husband John F. of Pelham, NH; two grandsons Dean A. and Nicholas J. Cunio, both of Pelham, NH; two brothers, Robert Cunio and his wife Mary of Fort Myers, FL and Robert J. Levy of Reading; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Carol Degurski and the late Joanne Floyd.
Per his wishes, calling hours were not held. A private Memorial Service took place at the Pelham Funeral Home, Pelham, NH with Rev. Bill Ferguson of the First Congregational Church presiding. Andrew Palmer
Phillips Medical Account Manager
Andrew W. Palmer of Nashua, NH, who formerly lived in Chelsea and East Boston, died suddenly at his New Hampshire residence on March 17. He was 45 years old.
A Chelsea native, he attended schools in East Boston and graduated from East Boston High School in the Class of 1987. He pursued further education at Salem State College, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Before relocating to Nashua, NH a year ago, Andrew had been a Malden resident. At the time of his death, Andrew was employed by Philips Medical as an account manager. He was known as a devoted friend who enjoyed watching sports and smoking cigars.
Andrew was the loving son of the late George Costa and Joanne (Reed) Palmer; the dear brother of Edna Palmer and her companion Richard Petersen, Earlene Cambriello and her husband Richard, all of Florida, and Amy Palmer of Boston; and the cherished uncle of Leonard and Nicholas Palmer and Lucia Cambriello.

Edward Berfield
Devoted Family Man and US Parcel Post Retiree
Edward I. Berfield, who lived in Chelsea his entire life, died on April 1 at the West Roxbury Veterans Hospital. He was 92 years old.
Born in Boston to the late Meyer and Annie Berfield, Edward worked for the United States Parcel Post Service. He was an honorably discharged US Army Veteran who served in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II.
Edward was deeply devoted to his family, providing care for his mother, wife and daughter throughout his life.
He was the beloved husband of the late Carolyn (Fietz) Berfield and is survived by his daughter Robyn Muise and her husband William, and his brother-in-law Robert Fietz.

J.D. Frazier
Retired Truck Driver; Well Known for His Sweet Potato Pie
J.D. Frazier of Chelsea, formerly of Anderson, South Carolina, died peacefully on March 30, which was his 79th birthday, at Boston City Hospital.
Born on March 30, 1935 in Anderson, South Carolina, J.D. was the cherished son of the late Reese and Christina (Moore) Frazier. He was raised and educated in Anderson as part of a large and loving family.
J.D. married Luevenuie Annie Geer, the “love of his life.” Their marriage spanned more than 50 years and created countless cherished memories for their family to pass down through generations. More than 50 years ago, J.D. and Luevenuie relocated to Chelsea, where they established their home and raised three sons.
J.D. worked as a truck driver for DiOrio Brothers Trucking Company for many years before retiring. Throughout his career in the industry, he earned a reputation as a hard worker and someone who could always be relied upon.
During his leisure time, J.D. enjoyed fishing and cooking. He became renowned for his exceptional sweet potato pies, which he generously shared with family and friends.
J.D. is remembered as a devoted family man, a good neighbor, and a true friend to many, and he will be greatly missed.
J.D. was the beloved husband of the late Luevenuie A. (Geer) Frazier, devoted father of J.D. Frazier, Jr. and his wife Gabriela of Killeen, TX, Darell Frazier and James “Reese” Frazier, both of Chelsea, loving grandfather of Jessica Lee Frazier, Jesse Frazier, James Frazier, William Frazier, and great-grandfather of Jaelize McCabe and Alexander Vasquez. He was the cherished son of the late Reese and Christina (Moore) Frazier, dear brother of Pearlie Mae Gray, Jessie Frazier and his wife Mary, all of Anderson, SC and the late Ella Mae Stanley; brother-in-law of Eula Mae Logan of Anderson, SC; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Pablo Justiniano
Of Chelsea
Pablo Justiniano of Chelsea died on April 3 at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home. He was 80 years old.
He was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and had made Chelsea his home since 1973.
Pablo was the devoted father of Carmen Justiniano of Florida, Pablo Justiniano of Revere, Carmen Justiniano of Lynn, Rosa Justiniano of Florida, Pablo Justiniano of Lynn, Nilda Justiniano and Felix Justiniano both of Chelsea, Mickey Justiniano of Peabody and Leni Justiniano and Elvis Justiniano, both of Chelsea. He is also lovingly survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The Smith Funeral Home, Chelsea handled funeral arrangements. Interment took place at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
