DRUG BUST
Officers conducted a well-being check at 93 Parker St. on April 10 at 8:19 a.m. Three individuals were spotted leaving the residence as police arrived. Following their investigation, all three suspects were arrested on narcotics charges.
The three arrested were Derik Hidalgo-Sanjuan, 19, of 192 Shurtleff St.; David Hurtado, 27, of 725 Broadway; and Pedro Colon, 29, of Revere. Each faced charges of possession of a Class B drug and conspiracy.
KNOW WHERE I CAN GET SOME CRACK?
Police responded to a scene in front of the Fine Mart at 260 Broadway on April 14 at 2:47 a.m., where two men were chasing each other. According to the victim, he had approached the suspect near 52 Hawthorne St. and asked about purchasing crack cocaine. When the victim displayed $251, the suspect snatched the money and ran. The victim pursued him, and officers apprehended the suspect.
Johel Mims, 18, of Malden, was charged with unarmed robbery and assault and battery.
STABBED FATHER IN NEW YORK
At 1:24 a.m. on April 14, Chelsea police received notification from New York State Police regarding a stabbing incident. The suspect had stabbed his father, who was hospitalized and underwent emergency surgery. New York authorities believed the suspect was heading toward his mother’s home in Chelsea. Officers located the subject at 9 Guam Rd. and took him into custody as a fugitive from justice.
Yunis Aden, 24, of Cleveland, was charged as a fugitive from justice.
A LONG, LONG DISAGREEMENT
Officers arrived at the New England Produce Co. Bay # 1 (Travis Fruit Company) on April 9 at 12:34 a.m. in response to a report of a past assault. The investigation revealed that two truck drivers had been engaged in an ongoing dispute that originated in Virginia and intensified as they traveled toward Chelsea.
The conflict culminated on the dock at the Produce Center when one driver assaulted the other by kicking him while he lay on the ground. The driver was arrested at the scene.
Andrew Ramirez, 30, of Santa Fe Springs, CA, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot).
CRASH ON CHESTER
Officers were dispatched to 138 Chester Ave. on April 14 at 11:15 p.m. after a vehicle struck multiple parked cars. The driver was attempting to leave the scene when police arrived. A white Mercedes with substantial front-end damage sat in the roadway, with the suspect standing near the driver’s door. Neighbors gathered on the sidewalk pointed out the suspect as the driver. Based on their observations, the operator was arrested.
Renato Garcia, 29, of 149 Congress Ave., was charged with operating under the influence of liquor, reckless operation, speeding, stop sign violation and failing to wear a seat belt.
