Monday, May 28 will host the 7th Girl Scout Memorial Day Parade beginning at 8:15 a.m. along Broadway. The traditional Memorial Day Exercises will follow on the lawn of City Hall.
For several years, the Chelsea Girl Scouts have organized this Parade, which continues to expand with growing community involvement each year.
The procession will start at 8:15 a.m. from Welsh & Son’s Funeral Home.
Community members and veterans organizations are welcome and encouraged to participate in the march.
Once the Parade concludes, the City will conduct its Exercises on City Hall’s lawn, featuring student essays, performances by the Chelsea High Concert Band and the Chelsea Chorale.
The ceremony will include remarks from speakers and conclude with a wreath-laying tribute.
Those interested in marching in the Parade should reach out to Kathryn Bourgea at [email protected].
