Deirdre Antonuccio

Deirdre (Hevey) Antonuccio of Revere, a line cook who spent years in local restaurant kitchens and fed her family and friends the same way at home, died unexpectedly on September 2, 2026. She was 67.

She was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, and moved often as a child because her father served in the Coast Guard. The family settled in Massachusetts when she was a teenager, living in Everett and on Cape Cod. She married Anthony Antonuccio as a young woman and raised four children.

Her husband, Anthony C. Antonuccio Jr., died in 2014. Her children are Reana Corbett, who lives in Wilmington; Anthony R. Antonuccio and his wife Jane, in Georgetown; Nadine Antonuccio, in Malden; and Mikayla Morrisey, in New Hampshire. Six grandchildren called her Nanny: Rebecca Corbett, Cameron Ryan, Isabella Amato, Addison Ryan, A.J. Antonuccio and Alex Antonuccio. She also leaves her sisters Paula Fratus and Katherine Weiss, her brother Gerard Hevey, and many nieces and nephews. Her brother Quentin Hevey died before her.

A memorial visitation was held September 10 at the Vertuccio Smith and Vazza Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach Street, Revere. The family suggests donations to the MSPCA-Angell, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130.
