Olivera Peulic, who came to Chelsea from the former Yugoslavia and built a second life here, died on July 25, 2026, surrounded by her family, after years of illness. She was 66.
She was born and raised in Yugoslavia, the daughter of the late Branko and Milosava (Mihajlovic) Babic.
She married Milan Peulic in 1980. They raised three sons and a daughter, and she worked as a clerk and typist in the court system there.
The family emigrated to the United States 24 years ago and settled in Chelsea. She became a United States citizen.
She was predeceased by her parents and by her sister, Branka Rudovic. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Milan; by her children Bo, Igor, and the twins Goran and Tatjana; by four grandchildren; and by her brother Miroslav Babic in Bosnia.
Visiting hours and a funeral service were held at the Welsh Funeral Home in Chelsea on July 30.
