Chelsea Observes Memorial Day 2014

Chelsea, Massachusetts

For the third consecutive year, the Chelsea Girl Scout Parade and Memorial Day Exercises provided a meaningful and well-attended observance. The local Girl Scouts have successfully enhanced participation in the official ceremonies by organizing activities beforehand. Among those present was World War II veteran Charlie Lanzillo, a former crew chief with the B-29 squadron stationed on Tinian Island, who stood with visible emotion as the Air Force anthem played during the City’s Memorial Day exercises.
