John (Andruszewski) Andrus
Of Everett
John (Andruszewski) Andrus, 92, of Everett passed away on Friday, November 21.
He was the cherished son of the late Stanislaus and Catherine (Piorkowska) Andruszewski. His survivors include his devoted sister Theresa Chotkowski and her late husband, Anthony of Woburn; his late brother Edward Andruszewski; and his sister Henrietta Zadroga and her husband, Joseph. He was the beloved uncle of Joseph, William, and John Zadroga, Paul, Gregory, Peter and Philip Chotkowski, Karen Zaleski, and the late Stephen Zadroga.
Funeral Services took place on Tuesday, arranged by the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, Woburn. Those wishing to honor John’s memory may make contributions to the Franciscan Sisters of St. Joseph, 5229 South Park Avenue, Hamburg, NY 14075.

Walter Anthony Godlewski
Of Millis, Formerly of Chelsea
Walter Anthony Godlewski, 66, of Millis and formerly of Chelsea, died at his home on Saturday, November 15. He was the son of the late Veronica (Operacz) Godlewski and Anthony Godlewski.
A Chelsea native and graduate of St. Stanislaus Parochial School and Chelsea High, Walter was known as an enthusiastic golfer. He served as a US Army veteran and worked for Sears Roebuck before retiring as a state employee. Cancer was the cause of his death.
He is survived by his wife Eileen Murphy and their two children, Mark and Allison Godlewski, as well as his sister Helen (Godlewski) Woytowicz.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Millis, with private burial to follow. Debra Lavandier
Retired MGH Administrative Assistant
Debra T. Lavandier, 59, a retired administrative assistant at the Massachusetts General Hospital, died in her Malden home on November 18.
Born and raised in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late John “Johnny Duggan” and Theresa (Caissie) Lavandier. She attended Our Lady of the Assumption Parochial School and graduated from Fitton Central High School in East Boston. Her career began with the telephone company and continued at the Massachusetts General Hospital, where she worked as an administrative assistant in various departments before retiring from the Human Resources Department.
A longtime Chelsea resident who moved to Malden 20 years ago, Debbie was devoted to animals and leaves behind her two beloved cats, Delilah and Chuck.
She is survived by her siblings Audrey Moscatelli and her husband, Robert of Malden and Brian Lavandier of Malden.
A Memorial Gathering will be scheduled and announced in the future. The Anthony Memorial / Frank A. Welsh and Sons Funeral Homes are overseeing arrangements.

Lillian Bishop
Worked at Chelsea Soldiers Home
Lillian (Babineau) Bishop of Chelsea passed away on November 22 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a brief illness. She was 96 years old.
A Commonwealth of Massachusetts employee, Lillian worked at the Chelsea Soldiers Home for 25 years and was an active member of the Chelsea Senior Center.
She was the devoted wife of the late Francis R. Bishop, Sr. and beloved mother of Francis R. Bishop, Jr. and his wife, Elaine of Middleton; Donna Domelowicz and her husband, Joseph of Myrtle Beach, SC; Robert H. Bishop and his wife, Ann of Chelsea; Beverly Henry and her husband, Michael of Revere; and the late William F. Bishop and his wife, Christine M. Bishop of Peabody. She was the sister of the late William Babineau and is survived by eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A Funeral will be held from the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, Chelsea on Tuesday, November 25th at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Grace Church, 59 Nichols St., Chelsea at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Those wishing to express sympathy in Lillian’s name may contribute to the charity of their choice.

Louise Sullivan
Retired Chelsea Retirement Board Executive Secretary
Louise L. Sullivan, retired executive secretary for the City Of Chelsea Retirement Board, passed away Thursday evening, November 20 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after becoming ill at her home earlier in the week. She had just turned 91 this month.
Born in Somerville, Louise was the beloved daughter of the late Eugene F. and Agnes C. (McGuigan) Sullivan. She grew up in Arlington before her family relocated to Chelsea, where she completed her education at St. Rose High School.
Louise worked as an office administrator and spent many years employed by the City of Chelsea in City Hall as the Executive Secretary for the City Retirement Board. After 50 years of service, she retired in 2004. A devoted Catholic, she was a longtime parishioner and communicant of St. Rose Church in Chelsea.
Besides her parents, Louise was preceded in death by sisters Rita H. Sullivan and Agnes M. Murphy and brother Eugene F. Sullivan, Jr. She is survived by her brother Robert W. Sullivan and his wife, Joan of Woburn; her sister Barbara A. Dixon and her husband, James of Chesapeake VA; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
