At noon on Friday, Sept. 16, Chelsea GreenRoots unveiled a Pop-Up Park in front of the Chelsea Chamber of Commerce on Broadway. The temporary space, part of International Park(ing) Day, aimed to spark conversations about open areas in the downtown region. Initially planned for a shorter duration, the event drew such a large crowd that organizers decided to extend the park’s opening until 5 p.m.
