Ronald G. Pyche, a longtime Chelsea resident who was 54 years old, died on July 30 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He had waged a courageous fight against lung cancer and was surrounded by family members at the time of his passing. Born in Chelsea to George and Lorraine (Arsenault) Pyche, he attended local schools and worked alongside his father and brother at Skate Land, a roller skating rink in Haverhill, where he served as co-owner.

Survivors include his mother, Lorraine (Arsenault) Pyche of Chelsea; his father George Pyche and stepmother Mary of Merrimack; his siblings Marc Pyche of Sandown, NH and Carol Freeman of Manchester, NH; his nieces and nephews Kim, Lauren, and Ricky; his great-nieces and great-nephews Brett, Adam, and Emma; and his late grandmother Tessie Arsenault. He is also survived by numerous cousins.

The Frank A. Welsh & Son’s Funeral Home in Chelsea held a Vigil Service.
