MGC still Deliberating in Encore Boston Harbor Decision

Chelsea, Massachusetts

More than two weeks have passed since the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) concluded its hearings on the Wynn Resorts/Encore Boston Harbor suitability determination, and the body continues to work through its deliberations internally.

The proceedings drew substantial public attention and extensive media coverage, yet little has transpired in public view since the hearings concluded.

According to a spokesman, the MGC members remain engaged in discussions, with a formal announcement of their decision to follow once deliberations are complete.

Currently, no specific date has been set for when the decision will be announced publicly. The determination will address several critical matters: whether Encore Boston Harbor will retain its casino license, which members of the Wynn organization will maintain their qualifier status, and which new individuals the MGC will certify as qualified.
