On Sunday, January 16, several arrests were made in the Chelsea area. Anthony Burgos, 17, of 161 Summit Ave., Chelsea, faced charges of assault and battery along with wanton destruction of property over $250. Bayron Mejia, 25, residing at 90 Shawmut St., Chelsea, was arrested for assault and battery. Two individuals were taken into custody for carrying dangerous weapons: Herlin Romero, 17, of 72 Blossom St., Chelsea, and Oscar Rosales, 18, of 74 Marlborough St., Chelsea. Angel Articia, 40, of 149 Shurtleff St., Chelsea, was arrested for malicious destruction of property over $250.
The following day, January 17, brought additional arrests. Erasmo Lopez, 47, of 18A Everett Ave., Chelsea, was arrested for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery on a police officer. Jose Fuentes, 24, of 121 Bloomingdale St., Chelsea, faced charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked license and was arrested on a felony warrant. Anthony Prizio, 37, of 286 Revere St., Revere, was arrested on warrants.
On Tuesday, January 18, Melanie Reddy, 27, of 100 Fourth St., Chelsea, was arrested on a warrant. The following day, Wednesday, January 19, Elio Lopez, 39, of 150 Shurtleff St., Chelsea, was arrested for operation of an unlicensed motor vehicle and a passing violation.
Friday, January 21 saw the arrest of Brian LaPorta, 21, of 232 Cooledge St., Revere, who was charged with assault. Saturday, January 22 resulted in multiple arrests: Phyllis Williams, 56, of 4 Washington Ave., Chelsea, for operating under the influence of liquor; Young Soo Chung, 64, of 86 Spruce Rd., Reading, for operating under the influence of liquor; Norberto Chan, 34, of 58 Grove St., Chelsea, for disorderly conduct, assault and battery on a police officer, and resisting arrest; and Oscar Flores, 28, of 186 Chestnut St., Chelsea, for operation of an unlicensed motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.
On Sunday, January 23, three individuals were arrested. Michelle Omowaiye, 24, of 7 Annies Ln., South Hamilton, was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor (2nd offense). Kenneth Lord, 41, of 47 Calumet St., Revere, was arrested for larceny over $250. Humerto Gonzalez, 22, of 30 Cherry St., Chelsea, was arrested on warrants.
