Lisa Santagate has not missed a meeting or a roll call, has filed one order, and has never voted against the majority. Her work this year is in the chair of the Public Safety subcommittee, not in the well of the council.
What she has asked for
Her order, in March, asked the City Manager, the City Solicitor, Public Works and the police to find ways to reduce littering, loitering and noise around the Civil War Memorial on Shurtleff Street. Taylor broadened it into a citywide subcommittee hearing in April, which she chaired. The same hearing took the fire chief’s presentation on a new fire station at either Marginal Street or Captain’s Row, and recorded that Engine 4 has been back in full-time service for the first time since receivership.
She is vice-chair of Ways and Means and called its June 16 meeting to order, on the salary reserve transfers, revolving funds and the CPA budget. She sits on this year’s City Manager evaluation committee.
How she has voted
No on Recupero’s three-family zoning in April. Yes on the Hines amendment in June, for the $275,000 inclusionary fee. Yes to continue the inclusionary meeting in March. With the majority on everything else. She has made six motions under suspension.
