Metro Credit Union has made a $5,000 donation to the Chelsea Collaborative, marking the second payment in a five-year pledge worth $25,000 total. The Chelsea Collaborative works to empower Chelsea residents and organizations in pursuit of social, environmental and economic justice throughout the community. Robert M. Cashman, President and CEO of Metro Credit Union, presented the donation and noted that “Metro Credit Union is founded on the principal of people helping people, and we are proud of our long-term support of this deserving organization.” The funds represent a multi-year commitment to support the Collaborative and its programs. According to Cashman, “We are delighted to make this donation to benefit the Chelsea Collaborative and to support the citizens of our community. One of our main goals is to provide support to the communities we serve by continuing to fund programs and services that improve the lives of people in our community,” the Collaborative’s initiatives are intended to strengthen Chelsea through Youth Employment Initiatives, immigrant and refugee assistance, housing and education assistance.
