Joel A. DeLuca of Nahant, a Revere native and lawyer who ran his family’s business, Deluxe Limousine, died peacefully at home October 20 after a two-year fight with cancer. He had just turned 59.

He was born in Revere on October 8, 1967, the only son of Anthony F. and Barbara (Bagnera) DeLuca. He graduated from Savio Preparatory High School in East Boston and Boston College, then earned his law degree at New England School of Law. He took over Deluxe Limousine and grew it until he retired two years ago.

He and his wife, Lisa M. (Serra) DeLuca, recently marked 31 years of marriage. His family says he lived life to the fullest with his close friends and family.

Besides his wife, he leaves his sisters-in-law, Rhonda Serra-DeStasio and Stacy A. Serra Quinones, both of East Boston; his nieces, Natasha and Cassandra Quinones of Marblehead; his grandnieces and grandnephews, Nico, Roma and Siena; his golden doodles, Daria and Matteo; and cousins and friends. His parents died before him.

A memorial funeral Mass is Thursday, October 29, at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere. Entombment will be private. The family asks that donations go to the Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute in place of flowers.
