The Chelsea Public Library now has a certified notary public who can notarize documents by appointment.
To book a time, email [email protected], call 617-466-4350 or fill out the request form on the library’s notary page. The form offers hourly slots from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., except 1 to 2 p.m., plus a slot after 5 p.m. on Wednesdays only. Appointments depend on staff being available and do not follow the library’s regular hours. Walk-ins may not be served, and the library asks people to call a day ahead to confirm.
What to bring
- A photo ID: a driver’s license, state ID or passport.
- Your documents, filled out but not signed. You sign in front of the notary.
Tell the notary ahead of time if you have several pages to notarize. The library says not every document can be notarized. Its page does not mention a fee.
The library is at 569 Broadway.
