Chelsea votes on Tuesday. The state election is November 3, and polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Early voting ended Friday at noon, so Election Day is the last chance to cast a ballot in person. Our voting guide has the polling places and the nine statewide ballot questions.

Before that comes a busy Sunday: clocks go back an hour, the Día de los Muertos festival fills Chelsea Square, and the developer of a proposed 150-unit building on Broadway meets neighbors on the site. Later in the week, the Traffic and Parking Commission meets, and the city’s veterans office holds a free wellness clinic open to everyone.

Sunday, November 1

  • Clocks fall back. Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. Set clocks back one hour Saturday night, and use the extra hour to test smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
  • 717 Broadway community meeting, noon, on the site at 717-719 Broadway and 10-24 Spencer Avenue. The Treetop Group, which proposes 150 apartments there, is hosting it. The Planning Board’s public hearing on the project is November 17. Our story on the meeting.
  • Día de los Muertos Festival, 1 to 5 p.m., Chelsea Square, with music, traditional dance and a community procession. It is free and open to all, pets included, and the city encourages people to come dressed as Catrinas. The community ofrenda in the square is open for visits through the weekend. Winnisimmet Street is closed to traffic from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. More festival details.

Tuesday, November 3

  • Election Day, polls open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters must go to the polling place for their own ward and precinct. If you are in line at 8 p.m., you can still vote. Questions go to the City Clerk’s office, Room 209, City Hall, or Chelsea 311 at 617-466-4209.

Wednesday, November 4

  • Traffic and Parking Commission, 6 p.m., City Council Chambers, City Hall, also shown live on Chelsea Community Cable. The commission is the only body that can create, change or remove traffic and parking rules in the city. The city has not posted an agenda online as of Saturday.

Friday, November 6

  • Health and Wellness Clinic, noon to 2 p.m., Chelsea Senior Center, 10 Riley Way. The city’s Department of Veterans Services is offering acupressure, Reiki, acupuncture, sound bowl sessions and energy healing, with lunch from Spinelli’s. Everyone is welcome, and veterans get priority for the therapy sessions. Register with [email protected] or 617-543-9545.
  • Graffiti Graphics, a free lettering workshop for ages 12 to 18, 3 to 4:30 p.m., Chelsea Public Library, 569 Broadway.

Saturday, November 7

  • Chelsea Reads, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Chelsea Public Library. The library’s 21st annual free book day: children and teens take home free books, with face painting, balloon art, crafts and guest readers.

Still open

  • The city’s survey on Comcast cable service runs until November 30, ahead of a public hearing November 18 at 5:30 p.m. in City Hall, Room 305. How to take part.
