Tuesday, Nov. 4 marks Election Day, with the gubernatorial contest between Charlie Baker and Martha Coakley taking center stage. While Evan Falchuk and Jeff McCormick are also running, they trail significantly in polling. The recent debates have provided both frontrunners with opportunities to communicate their platforms as the campaign enters its final stretch.
Chelsea voters will head to the polls in what has proven to be a compelling election cycle. Beyond the Governor’s race, residents will decide statewide offices, Congressional seats, and state representative positions.
Ballot Question 3 has drawn considerable local attention, with Winthrop resident John Ribeiro spearheading opposition to casino gaming in Massachusetts. The measure will determine whether casinos operated by Wynn Resorts in Everett and MGM Resorts in Springfield, along with a slots parlor in Plainville, will be approved.
Chelsea residents are urged to participate in Tuesday’s election and make their preferences known.
