Daniel D. “Danny” DiLorenzo, who was born at Whidden Memorial Hospital, graduated from Everett High School in 1972 and never lived anywhere but Everett, died on August 26, 2026. He was 72.
Born June 14, 1954, he went on to Salem State and then to a career of more than 30 years at the Internal Revenue Service. Outside work he organized the lunches and dinners, golfed, bowled candlepin, played Risk, went to games, listened to Led Zeppelin, watched Mel Brooks, tended his roses and some 40 houseplants, and appreciated a glass of bourbon. He made friends easily and kept them for decades.
He leaves his longtime partner, Barbara, of Sherborn; his nephews Daniel and his wife Angela of Milton, Nicholas and his wife Sacharie of Revere, and Adam and his wife Maureen of Lynnfield; and many grandnieces and grandnephews. His parents, Dominic and Marianne (Cook) DiLorenzo, his sister Maria and his brother-in-law Martin Rystrom died before him.
Visiting hours were held September 9 at the Salvatore Rocco and Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main Street, Everett, with a celebration of life there on September 10.
