Florence A. “Flo” (Santiano) Kyriacos, a Revere High School graduate of 1960 who rose from teller to supervisor at Shawmut Bank in Boston and then left to raise her daughter in Revere, died on September 6, 2026 at the Winchester Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a short illness. She was 84.
She was born in Malden on March 20, 1942 to Vito Santiano and Sara “Sadie” (Vertuccio) Santiano and grew up in Revere with her sisters Dolores and Chickie. The friends she made at Shawmut stayed friends for life. After years of traveling she met Steve Kyriacos; they married on April 16, 1972, settled in Revere, and had their daughter, Stephanie, in 1974. She went back to work part-time once Stephanie was older. She liked a sale, a trip, an afternoon at the casino, and above everything time with her two grandsons.
Her husband of 52 years died before her, as did her son Michael and her sisters Dolores Smith and Leonora “Chickie” Jacinto. She leaves her daughter, Stephanie Kyriacos Noyes of Wilmington; her grandsons, Ethan and Drew Noyes; nieces and nephews David Smith, Thomas Smith, Rita Jacinto, Regina Jacinto and Anthony Jacinto; and her cousins Ralph P. Vertuccio Jr. and Linda Fariole of Revere.
A graveside service is Friday, September 25 at 1:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett; mourners are asked to be at the front gate by 1:15. Arrangements are by the Vertuccio Smith and Vazza Beechwood Home for Funerals, Revere. The family suggests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
